Make Up Focus : Eyebrow Tutorial

Hi Ladies,

Recently, I have had a lot of questions about my eyebrows, and how I achieve my look.
I have decided to do a step by step of how I do my brows, and what product's I use.

Like all of us, I have had my fair share of eyebrow disasters, over plucking being the biggest mistake.
I went to town on my brows with a tweezers in my early teens, and am still haunted by any photos I see  of that time, to this day!!
Luckily, I have mastered the art of creating the perfect brow for my face shape, so I will share my tips with you below…

Step 1 - I always do my brows first, before any other make up step. I find I get a better base for creating the over all look once my brows are done.

Step 2 - I use Lingering eyebrow pencil from MAC, and slowly fill in my brows, from the middle of the brow, outwards.

Step 3 - Make sure to use "hair like" strokes, and do not be heavy handed, as otherwise your brows will have too much product and become slightly "scouse" looking!! (Not a good look for anyone!!)

Step 4 - Using a 266 from MAC, I will then drag the product towards the start of my brow, to create a softer finish. feather it upwards, in the direction of the hair growth.

Step 5 - I then move on to the tail of my brow, which I like to be quite sharp. I use the pencil a little heavier here, and make sure to create a clean finish.
(TIP: make sure if you use a pencil, that it is freshly pared and sharp for this)

Step 6 - The next step is the key for creating a HD look. Take a concealer, two shades lighted than your skin tone, with a small angled brush, and outline the brow, top and bottom. This will clean up any product fallout, and create a contrast to the brow.
You can then add a highlight to the brow bone, under the eye brow for an even more dramatic effect.

Step 7 - Always make sure to use an eyebrow brush, and brush out the brows before finishing, I tend to spray a little hairspray on the brush beforehand, to make sure the hairs stay in place all day and night.

I hope this has helped you all, and if you have any further questions please let me know!

Have a lovely Sunday evening ladies,

Lots of Love,

Rosie

Style File : 17 Piece Capsule Autumn Wardrobe

Hi again Ladies,

I hope everyone is enjoying this October weather as much as I am…It is, hands down, my favourite month!

I have had many emails asking what I would suggest as my "must haves" for this season. Working as a Personal Shopper also means I am creating capsule wardrobes for my clients on a daily basis, so it is something I have become quite good at narrowing down.

My top 17 picks are -

1. Black / Blue Jeans
My preference is a skinny fit, with as many rips as possible (Just a personal style of mine!)

2. Leather Trousers / Legging
These add texture to your wardrobe. Layer with a chunky knit and flat boots, or glam up with a killer heel for two great looks.

3. Staple Skirt
My go to would be a leather pencil skirt, but you can choose a midi, or A line, whichever you feel suits your shape better.

4. Basic Long Sleeve Turtleneck
Turtlenecks or Polo's have come back with a bang this season. Grab a few plain coloured ones to layer under gilets and other knitwear pieces.

5. Loose FIt White Tee
This goes without saying, every season needs one. I chose them a little oversized, to add some movement to an outfit.

6. Check Shirt
I have a slight obsession with plaid shirts, and add them to nearly every outfit lately. You can wear them open with a tank top underneath, closed and buttoned up for a smarter look, or tied around the waist for an edgier, street style vibe.

7. Chunky Knit
As the temperatures drop, there is nothing better than slinging a chunky knitted cardigan over your shoulders. Choose a medium to long length, for an extra stylish look.

8. LBD
Whats a capsule wardrobe without a little black dress? To spice it up, choose one with a little something extra to it, like a backless dress, or asymmetric hem, to add drama.

9. Leather Jacket
This also goes without saying, a good leather jacket is an absolute must in every wardrobe, and will take you through season after season. Whether its a soft buttery leather with waterfall front for the elegant lady, or a structured, heavier leather with lots of strong hardware for braver woman out there, you will wear this with EVERYTHING!

10. Duster Coat / Trench Coat
A huge it this season, and a great transitional piece, before you jump into your heavy winter coat. Opt for a neutral tone, like black or beige to get the most wear out of this layering piece.

11. Gilet
It can be fur, leather, or even knitwear gilet, but all three will become a staple for layering up in Autumn. Fur gilet's can be layered over a basic polo on mild days, or over your leather jacket on the cooler days ahead.

12. Chelsea Boot
Anyone that knows me, will know I CANNOT be without these. I have many different chelsea boots, but always seem to go back to my favourite tan leather pair. Invest in a well made boot, with genuine leather, and they will be good to you, season after season.

13. High Heeled Ankle Boot
Fancy heading out, but don't want to punish yourself in killer heels? A good pair of high ankle boots teamed with a skinny jean can look just as chic, and are a much more practical option for those of you who like their comforts!

13. Trainers / Slip on's
Whether it is a fresh pair of Converse, or a animal print slip on trainer, this casual shoe is your 'go to" for the Autumn months. They are the best way to add a stylish edge to a somewhat casual look, and super comfortable too…What's not to like?!

15. HATS!!!
Ok, so this is coming from someone who gets an absolute pleasure out of buying hats, but what is an Autumn wardrobe without a pretty Fedora or even a wooly beanie hat. I have a whole collection of Fedoras, and they are perfect for those days when your hair just doesn't want to behave. Or for us blondes out there, when your root is just a little too "there" for your liking!!

16. Oversized Scarf
Another key piece, and a great way of adding a pop of colour to a basic look.

17. Sunglasses
Ok, so these are technically not in your wardrobe, but what makes an outfit more chic than a great pair of sunnies, on these bright cold mornings…?! Plus, its a great excuse to cut out the eye make up if you are stuck for time or if you have had a late night the night before!!

Thanks for reading Ladies,

Lots of Love,

Beauty Review : Alice In Beautyland

Hi Ladies,

Last week, the beautiful Laura from Alice In Beautyland salon kindly invited me to try out some of the treatments on offer in her new salon.

As I am now 30 weeks pregnant, its safe to say that reaching my toes to file and paint them is pretty much an impossible task. My bump is not that big yet, but it is still a struggle to put socks on..(ohhh the glamour of pregnancy!)

I opted for the Geleration pedicure, which has my feet feeling and looking AMAZING.
From the mint scrub, to the foot mask, my feet have never felt so soft and supple. I then chose my colour for the gel polish, and had that applied while relaxing in the most beautiful smelling salon EVER! If you are a candle obsessive like me, you will be in heaven here (No smells of nail polish and false tan, perfect for my heightened sense of smell!)

After my feet were looked after, I was then treated to the Luxury Facial. Laura was so considerate of my growing bump, and made sure I was propped up just enough to be comfortable lying on my back.
She applied a mask, exfoliator, and many other amazing products to my skin, all safe for application during pregnancy. I was so relaxed in the salon, that I almost nodded off, only for the continuous baby kicks keeping me alert!

My skin has never felt so bright and fresh since having this facial, and I can safely say it will definitely be a regular treatment of mine for the months to come. God know's I will need it, with all the late nights  and early mornings ahead.

Alice in Beautyland is based in Lucan, and you can contact Laura on Facebook here or on 0851820326 for more information and to make a booking. They have a huge range of treatments available, and all at great prices.

I am looking forward to starting my course of Microdermabrasion with Laura once my little man has arrived..

Have a lovely Sunday evening ladies..

Lots of Love,

My Fashion Career

Hi Ladies,

I have always had many questions put to me, about how I got into the fashion industry, and what path I took. I put out a post on my Instagram last week to see if you would like to hear my story, and got a great response, so I will do my best to cover everything below for you all!

I finished school in 2008, and had always planned to study Make Up Artistry after school, as I was obsessed with make up from my early teens. I got accepted into Dublin Institute of Technology to study Retail and Services Management, but decided to defer it for the year, so I could focus on something that I enjoyed more, Make Up! It turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as the month that I began my year long course in Senior College Dun Laoghaire, my father passed away tragically. I think if I had not been doing something that I truly loved, I would have dropped out and lost my focus.
I studied full time for one year, covering Fashion and Media make up, as well as Special FX, skincare, tanning etc. I made some of the best friends during that year, and couldn't thank the staff at my college enough for their continued support in helping me get through a very tough year personally. It was a very intense course, but is one of the most highly respected qualifications in Make Up, available in Ireland.

After this I began freelancing in Make Up, while attending college at night time. I decided that I wanted to study Event Management, as working on a make up counter did not appeal to me at the time. I got my Diploma in Event Management, and also continued to blog, and freelance in my spare time.
When my course ended, I got a job working for an Event and Entertainment Management company in Dublin. I absolutely loved the fast pace of event planning, and knew that whatever road was ahead, it needed to be busy, as I get bored if my mind is not challenged daily.

On my lunch break, I would rather spend my hour on Grafton street shopping, than having lunch. Any spare minute was spent online, reading the latest fashion blogs, and watching my favourite bloggers on YouTube. I remember feeling like I would absolutely love to have a job that was also my hobby. So during my year working in events, I started up a small blog, for all things beauty and fashion related. I wanted to get a feel for it, and have a place to unwind and switch off from my busy job. My close friends and family always knew that the beauty and fashion industry was my number one love, and so when an opportunity came up, to enter a fashion reality show competition on TV, they were the first to encourage me to enter.

Oasis were launching a nationwide search for the next 'Personal Stylist" for their brand. All you had to do was fill out and application form along with your photo, and send it off. Seems simple right? Well who would of thought I would need so much persuasion from those close to me?! I had never done any TV appearances at this stage, and found the whole idea very daunting. After much persuasion, I sent in my application form and that was that. Later that night I had a call to say I was chosen to attend an assessment day, which was not to be filmed, but was to whittle down the thousands of applicants, to just 12 who would compete on the show. The judges were Ian Galvin, head of Aurora Fashions and a big name in the Irish fashion industry, Lisa Fitzpatrick, celebrity stylist and TV presenter, and Bairbre Power, Fashion Editor with the Irish Independent Newspaper.

To cut a long story short, I made it to the TV show stage, and began preparing for the 4/5 weeks of filming that was ahead. We had a new task set every week, and would compete against each other to keep our place in the show, hoping to win the title of Oasis Personal Stylist, and win a full time year long contract with the brand. The footage was filmed during the week, and we would then attend the TV3 studios and one by one, contestants were eliminated live on air on Irelands biggest breakfast show, Ireland AM…scary right?!

One of the tasks, was to put together a capsule wardrobe for a weekend away, that would be featured in Weekend Magazine, with the Irish Independent. We had 30 minutes in Clerys Dublin, to put our wardrobe together, all while being followed by camera men (very off putting!!) I won the task, and had my looks photographed and featured the following weekend, my first piece of press ever!

We finally came down to the last week, and as I stood on set, hot lights from the TV set burning down on me, I realised that I wanted this job more than anything. Luckily, I won the competition, and finally had my stepping stone into the fashion industry. I had already got to know some of the biggest names in the Irish fashion industry through the show, and knew this was a great break for me.

I began my whirlwind of a year working as the face of Personal Styling for Oasis flagship store in St. Stephens Green. I had began dressing Karen Koster, the anchor for TV3's Xpose show, for all five shows each week, travelled around the UK with Lisa Fitzpatrick, running styling workshops in Oasis stores overseas, and filming many pieces to camera for Xpose myself. Stellar Magazine were running a feature on "Dream Jobs" and I was selected to have a full page feature, with interview and photoshoot printed in the magazine, another career high for me. I also had the opportunity to personally dress and style the newly crowned Miss Ireland Aoife Walsh for her trip to the Miss World Competition in Indonesia last year.

All of a sudden, being on TV and in front of a camera had become normal to me. This was all happening, on top of building up my client base in store. It was with Oasis that I really gained so much experience, skill and knowledge, and developed my confidence to go back to college again, and get some more qualifications under my belt. As well as working full time, and travelling a lot for Oasis, I decided to attend Portobello Institute and study Fashion Buying And Merchandising at night. I wanted to gain as much knowledge and experience that I could, so although it meant I never had a spare minute in my day, I was doing something I truly loved. My Mum always told us to invest in your education, as it will always stand to you.

Although I was really enjoying my job at Oasis, and blogging in my spare time, I felt like I needed a new challenge, and applied for the job as Personal Shopper with Arnotts, Ireland oldest and largest department store. I felt like I was ready to further my career, and broaden my work and client base. I also loved the high end brands that Arnotts stock, and was excited to get working with some of the biggest brands in Ireland. I have been working as a Personal Shopper with Arnotts for over a year now, and can safely say, it is my favourite job I have had since finishing school 6 years ago. I work with some of the most amazing colleagues, and get to meet new faces every day with my clients. I have built up a strong client base here, and have also got to work on some fantastic projects too.

We work on many great fashion shows around Dublin, and dressed some of Irelands top models. I appear regularly on TV3's Xpose, presenting the latest fashion looks and trends available at Arnotts. I have also recently been featured in VIP magazine, talking about my fashion tips.

If you are still reading this far, then I salute you! The best advice I can give to someone who wants to break into the fashion industry, is to go for every opportunity that comes your way, no matter how big or small, or how scary it seems at the time. I have grown in confidence and as a woman, all from taking chances, and putting myself out there. Don't be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone, and chase your dreams. I did it, and so far it has worked for me.

I have so much more I would like to achieve, and have many plans ahead for the future. Although I am expecting my first child in Decemeber, I am continuing to make great plans for my career and future, as I want to provide the best life possible for my son.
My blog has just reached over 20,000 views, another great milestone for me.

Surround yourself with good family and friends, those who encourage you, support you and most of all, who want to see you succeed. Never let jealous or bitter people put you down, they are only that way because you are already ahead…Keep climbing! Its a sign that you are doing something right!

Thanks for reading, and have a great Sunday,

Lots of Love,

Rosie

Review : Mothercare Blooming Marvellous Range

Hi Ladies,

I have recently teamed up with Mothercare Ireland to take a look at their Autumn Winter Blooming Marvellous Range that hit stores last month.

As many of you know, I am expecting my first baby in December, and was excited to see what maternity fashion they had on offer, as here in Ireland, we are very limited with options when it comes to dressing that ever growing bump.

As a personal shopper and fashion blogger, one of my early thoughts when I discovered I was expecting, was how I was going to remain stylish, on trend but also comfortable during the following 40 weeks ahead?!

Luckily, Mothercare have come up with some beautiful pieces to add to your wardrobe, making sure you stay stylish in every trimester.

Here are a few of my favourite picks from the collection -

Also available in White here

I just love the mix of casual and more dressy pieces. Each of the items in the range are affordable, great quality, and most of all SUPER stylish.

Be sure to check out your local Mothercare, or shop the collection online at www.Mothercare.ie

Lots of Love,

Rosie

OOTD : Fur Love

Hey ladies,

Sorry I have been a bit quiet on the blog lately! I have been super busy balancing work and a lovely touch of sciatica from the weight of my little 27 week bump, which has been slowing me down a lot the last week or two.

I am just back from the most amazing "Babymoon" in the 5 star Los Monteros Golf and Spa Resort in Marbella with Paul, and can safely say, I had the best week of my life.
I will be doing a full review of our holiday, the hotel, the places we ate etc this week, but for know, here is a quick look at my outfit today...

I am feeling the cold, having spent the last week in bikinis, basking in the sunshine, so I decided a fur gilet was the perfect choice on this cold, dull day in Dublin.

I picked this gilet up in Stradivarius, over in Marbella, and know I am going to get plenty of wear out of it in the coming months. It would be perfect layered over a leather jacket too…

My jeans are actually a dark bottle green colour, with a wax finish to them. The colour doesn't pick up on the iPhone!!

Keep an eye out for my holiday post coming this week..

What I Wore : Sunday Casuals

Hi Ladies,

Just a quick outfit post of what I wore for a chilled relaxing Sunday..

Decided comfort was my priority today, as I have been on my feet in work the last few days, and needed to give my back a break.

My jeans are my trusty Zara distressed denims… literally worn these to death, tartan shirt is from Forever 21 and navy vest top is Penneys, perfect for my growing baby bump!

I threw these on with my white Converse, Michael Kors watch and my Louis Vuitton speedy 35.

Simple, casual and stylish…my favourite combination!

I hope you are all having a lovely Sunday…

Lots of Love

Zara Biker Trousers

Hi ladies,

As I am now over 6 months pregnant, it is getting harder and harder to put together outfits that feel like my style, but that are comfortable for my growing baby bump. Pregnancy can be tough when you are already not feeling like yourself, your body is changing daily, and you have aches and pains everywhere (or you could be the lucky few who escape that side of things!!)

I popped into Zara during the week and fell in love with these faux leather biker pants. I am obsessed with leather and love the edgy look it gives to any outfit.
I bought in my usual size XS, as they are not a high rise, so can be buttoned under my bump, and I wanted them to fit tightly to my legs.

I paired them with a black and white striped basic top and black ankle boots for work yesterday. My job involves a lot of running around and I am on the go from the minute I start my day, so they have been through the comfort test, and passed!

Later that evening, I was heading out for a little date night with Paul, and with little time to get ready, i just changed up my shoes and top. My shoes, top and bag were all Zara too.

I can't wait to wear them with a  cosy knit and converse on a  more casual day, They are the perfect item for my winter wardrobe.

If you are a fan of the leather look like me, then make sure to pick these up before they sell out!

Lots of love,

Rosie

Worth The Hype : Beauty Products

I have to confess, I am a beauty product junkie!! I can't walk past a Boots or Pharmacy without wandering in and picking up unnecessary beauty items to try.
Over the years, I have gathered a lot of information on what products really work, and what products really weren't worth the hype, and money! I am now left with an Ikea unit full of half used bottles of every lotion and potion ever made.

Seen as how I have spent so much time testing out products, I decided to let you all in on what beauty buys I think are completely worth it, so that you do not get caught out buying into another beauty industry gimmick!

HAIR

1. L'Oreal Paris Elnett Hairspray

I would say I have caused a hole in the Ozone layer, at the rate I go through hairsprays, but I have come to the conclusion that you get what you pay for in this case. Trust me, there have been days when I have been stuck, and grabbed the €2 hairsprays from the local supermarket, but if you are looking for a strong hold spray, that does not make your hair feel hard, or dry, this is the one for you. So easy to brush out, and leaves your hair looking natural but structured at the same time. I find the large bottle is best for value (I get mine in Terrisales Wholesalers for around €7) but I like to keep a small bottle with me in my handbag for those days when the wind decides to ruin your morning blow-dry!

2. Tangle Teezer

For any of you with extensions, this is a staple you just need to purchase. I know there are plenty of variations of the Tangle Teezer around now,  but I picked mine up over a year ago in Boots, and have not gone a day without it. It is perfect for detangling your hair without damaging the bonds of your hair extensions, and also great for anyone who finds there hair hard to manage after washing it. They do great handbag sized ones now too, perfect for when you're on the go.

SKINCARE

3. Oilatum Natural Repair Face Cream

I have the girls over at Pixiwoo to thank for this one, as about two years ago I bought this on their recommendation, and haven't looked back. It is perfect if you have dry or sensitive skin, and is free from fragrances, preservatives and emulsifiers (hence the "natural" name!) My skin can react to products with too much fragrance, and become irritated, but I find this calms the skin really well. As my skin has now levelled out, and become less dry, I only use this twice a week, when my skin needs some extra hydration.

4. Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask

If you are looking for a treatment to use once or twice a week, this is a great product. Again, for dry skin, it is a mask that you lather on to the skin and allow to dry in just before bed. By the morning, your skin will have absorbed the mask, and feel super soft and hydrated. My favourite thing about this face mask, is the smell. I can't even describe how nice it is, but it smells good enough to eat. It is a little on the pricey side, but considering you only use it weekly, you get plenty of mileage out of one tube.

BODYCARE

5. La Roche Posay Lipikar Lipid Replenishing Body Milk

Another great product from a well trusted brand, La Roche Posay. This is your basic body lotion, perfect for slapping on after your shower, and suitable for normal to dry skin types. It absorbs quickly, and leaves the skin super hydrated. Nothing incredibly gimmicky about this one, just an all round great regular body moisturiser.

6 . Vaseline Spray and Go Body Moisturiser

I mentioned this spray on my Instagram a few weeks ago, and I feel it deserves a place in my favourites post. This is a light misty spray, that smells amazing, and drys in before you even finish spraying your whole body. I love to use this on days I am rushing off to work, and don't have time to allow a body lotion to sink in. It doesn't leave any grease or stickiness on the skin, so perfect when you need to throw your outfit on straight away. A new beauty favourite I can see myself using for a long time.

TANNING

7. Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan

As I am pregnant, I have to make sure to chose the safest option of tanning, to protect my little one from any harmful sun rays. Since the day this tan went on the market, I have not been without at least one bottle of it in my beauty stash (I generally pick up two or three at a time, so that I never run out!) The 1 hour mousse smells gorgeous for a false tan, goes on instantly, and gets darker within the hour. I apply it with the tanning mit and have never been left with any streaks or patches. The bottle seems to last for ages, and gives the most natural brown glow to the skin (no tangerine legs here please!) It wears off really naturally, and does not dry out my skin in the process. I cannot recommend this tan highly enough!

8. SunFX Body Shimmer

Ok, so technically this is not a tanning product, but I use this alongside my tan, to prolong it, and to give your skin that shimmer and light to it. I am using this product since I studied Make Up back in 2008, and again, can vouch for the quality of it. It is packed with shea butter and macadamia oil, to get the most out of your false tan. Perfect for popping on to your legs before a night out, and also gives a great shimmer across the décolletage.

I hope you enjoyed this post, and you can find links to each of the products below.

Lots of love,

Rosie

Pregnancy Update #2 : It's A Boy!

So  as my latest pregnancy update has been receiving a lot of attention on my blog, I have decided to do another one, as this week was a big one on the baby front.

Last Wednesday, we had our ultrasound appointment in the hospital, and had already decided we wanted to find out the sex of our baby. Both myself and Paul are very impatient, and I absolutely HATE surprises of any kind, so it was a no brainer for us to find out as soon as possible.
I also need to be very organised otherwise I get really bad anxiety, so the thoughts of having to do some baby shopping the week our baby is due was daunting, especially considering I am due Christmas week!

Waiting in the waiting room was the craziest feeling in the world. On one hand, I was so excited to see our little baby again, and to find out if it would be a son or daughter I will be cuddling this Christmas. But then the reality of the scan kicked in, and knowing that this will be the time that some health issues may be spotted made me extremely anxious, and put the excitement to the back of my mind. Luckily, when we were called in (by the friendliest midwife I have ever met!) the scan went just as we had hoped, and everything with baby looked perfect.

She was able to tell us straight away that we were having a boy, due to the fact our little man wanted to put himself on show for all to see!! He was moving about, grabbing his feet and putting them to his mouth (Yoga baby!!) I think I shocked all my family and friends when they got the call to say it was a boy, as everyone, bar my Mum, had bet on it being a girl. I even felt it was a girl from day one, so it was a major shock for me too! Just goes to show, don't trust in all the old wives tales!

Since finding out we're having a boy, the shopping has kicked into gear. I couldn't resist going out the next day and buying lots of adorable little outfits for him, and have already set up a Pinterest board on little boys fashion, so that I can plan out his looks (Que the OOTD posts for baby once he arrives!)
I'm sure he will be sick of the camera, and constant outfit changes by the time he's a few months old.
Baby Instagram account anyone?!

Symptom-wise I have been feeling quite good this week. I have had some tiredness, and a lot of back ache and pressure, but my energy is good for the most part. Everyday I wake up without nausea, is a blessing in my eyes, having had it for over 4 months!

This whole experience has been a whirlwind of emotions since finding out I was pregnant. There have been some amazing highs, along with some crazy anxiety, but finding out that I will have a beautiful baby boy in my arms in just a few months, has made it all even more real and exciting.

I will continue to update you all on how I am getting on, and may do a little baby boy haul post on my recent purchases too.

Lots of love,

Rosie

Make Up Must Haves

Many of you have been asking me what make up products I use and what I can't live without. As a qualified make up artist, I am always on the look out for the best products, and always like to try new lines that arrive on the market.
Depending on my mood, I can go from a natural(ish!!!) face, to full on glamour. Lately I have found I am wearing less on my eyes, as I think a fresh dewy make up works best in summer. That means no lashes, liquid liner or even kohl, just some light shadow and a touch of mascara.

I'll start with my foundation. I was always an avid MAC fan, from the minute I started wearing make up. I still love their bases, but I find day to day, I have a new love. I have been wearing the Revlon PhotoReady Airbrush mousse make up almost every day for over two years now. It has a light to medium coverage, and doesn't make your skin feel "cakey". I use the Real Techniques buffing brush to apply this.

Depending on how my skin is, I may cover up any blemishes with MAC's Studio Finish Concealer if I need it.

I contour and highlight every day, but will use a light contour from the Crown Brush Concealer palette for a day make up, and will use both the crown brush palette followed by Harmony blusher from MAC to create a more dramatic contour for night time, or more heavy make up looks.

Highlighting has always been one of my favourite steps, as I think it really adds something special to your make up. I have been using MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in soft and gentle for years now, and can't seem to get away from it. No matter what highlighter I try, I always revert back to this one!
I change my blusher daily, depending on my mood. Some days I like a pink tone, but lately I have been opting for a more coral blush, as I think it gives the skin a lovely summery glow. My current must have is  Peaches sheer tone blush by MAC.

For a natural eye make up, I use either Texture or Uninterrupted from MAC all over the eye, blending out to give a soft finish. As for mascara, I am not the most loyal customer, as I chop and change mascaras everytime they run out. My latest favourite is the Maybelline Volum' Express The Colossal mascara in black.

Lastly, my favourite lippie! Anyone who knows me, knows that I am rarely caught without some sort of nude lip. For years I was completely addicted to Myth from MAC, and would repurchase time and time again. I always have one in my make up collection, but I have discovered a new love, Sweet and Sour lippie from MAC. It's a beautiful orange tone and is my obsession over the last few weeks.

So there you have it, a little insight into what you will find in my everyday make up bag. Of course, I have plenty more products, but these are the basics that I can't live without.
